woo-hoo!

SLCL has now put on hold the following:

SIX GEESE A-SLAYING by Donna Andrews (october)
ROUGH WEATHER by Robert Parker (october)
LIVING WITH THE DEAD by Kelley Armstrong (october)
WOLFSBANE AND MISTLETOE edited by Charlaine Harris (october)
(I'm probably going to have to buy that one. It's got stories by Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, Keri Vaughn "and others".)

October is going to be an excellent month for reading.

IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER

IN THE BLEAK MIDWINTER by Julia Spencer-Fleming is one of the best first mystery novels out there. It's the first in the series, and a truly excellent read. I am almost finished with the third in the series, and I find while the style is completely different, the quality level is on par with Sue Grafton. I highly recommend this series, and I strongly suggest that you start with this, the first book.
